AIDA Instructor Crossover Course

Our AIDA Instructor Crossover is only for freediving Instructors certified from other recognized freediving agencies. The crossover is a 5-7 days short version of our full AIDA Instructor Course.

This course will be conducted by our AIDA Instructor Trainer : Amro Dabash, and consist of several theory sessions, confined and open water sessions,  examinations and a special presentation.

At the end of the Crossover, you will become familiar with the AIDA Educational System and be assessed according to the AIDA standards.

Prerequisites:
– Current CPR + First Aid certification,

– Be certified as an active freediving Instructor by other agency. On the first day of the course, a complete assessment of your level (theory, technical skills and performances) is organized. It is highly recommended to be able to demonstrate all the skills and performances of the AIDA 4 course to enter the crossover.

– Moreover, candidates must also be able to perform with ease a CWT freedive to 40m.

– Pass the Knowledge Evaluation upon entry of the course: AIDA1-4 exams in 1.5h, pass-rate 90%

Note: To register as an AIDA Instructor you will also need:

• First Aid Certification (EFR or equivalent), no older than 2 years
• Dive Insurance (e.g. DAN Pro)

Required Files: complete the AIDA Medical Form and the AIDA Liability Release upon request.

CROSSOVER COURSE STRUCTURE

Classroom

4 Teaching sessions

1 Practical exam: Teaching in classroom (15 min)

2 Written AIDA Instructor Exams (1.5 h each)

1 Special presentation incl. hand-out: AIDA IC Special Presentation

Pool Sessions:

1 STATIC session.

1 DYNAMIC session.

1 Pool Practical exam each: Teaching a skill.

Open Water Sessions:

3-4 Open Water Sessions.

1 Practical exam: Teaching a skill.

Further examination

Teaching exam: Warm-up & Stretching

Teaching exam: Relaxation exercise and breathing technique

Practical exam: Setting up dive site, ropes and knots
